This episode lays a foundation of what every Jew would have expected the Messiah to accomplish. The words of Yeshua must be examined next to these expectations. Each believer should become familiar with the prayers, which were prayed then as well as now. Hopefully, this new tool of understanding will provoke you to learn how the ancient prayers can add to your own understanding and praise.
