The Fall Festivals and Conclusion
Part five of this series on the festivals ties together the seasons, the festivals and their corresponding dates. All of this information is fundamental to any valid study of the festivals of HaShem. I would encourage everyone to watch repeatedly these five episodes in order to prep you for the programs ahead. Hopefully this will open many areas of the scripture and prophecy that had slipped by you in the past.

Program #47 – Ezra’s Ten Rules Part 8- The Beit Din2
We look at the purpose of the assembly of the Beit Din on Monday’s and Thursdays. I discuss the initiation of the Sanhedrin, Beit Din Gadol. I then begin to discuss the criteria for the men who would judge Yisrael. The Sanhedrin demonstrates the Theocratic structure of the “Olam haba.”
I discuss the idea of needing to “know” da’at the Torah as a means for keeping covenant with HaShem. I discuss the idea that the B’nai Yisrael need to be taught the word of HaShem in order to be governed and controlled by the Beit din.

Roots of Faith 28 Dec 2008 | : ARBA4, ROF Sunday Shul, Roots of Faith
In this class, Ross begins to teach on “Participating in the Plan of God”. Ross teaches this week that the establishment of the Kingdom of God is the basis for the plan of God. This is the eighth in the series based upon James Tabor’s Restoring Abrahamic Faith. He covers texts in the Christian writings and suggests that Yeshua caught a glimpse of the Kingdom. Ross refers to the prayer of John and Yeshua – known as the “Lord’s Prayer” in his teaching tonight to make the point that the Kingdom is to be here on earth. Ross reads several passages from the prophets to provide a glimpse of what the prophest saw in regards to the Kingdom.

Program #46 – Ezra’s Ten Rules Part 7- Reach and Legacy
How far reaching were the tiknot (reforms) of Ezra and the Men of the Great
Assembly? I look at the Prushim (Pharisees) as a model for the nation of
Yisrael. I also look at the Hebrew word “Kodesh.”
I further discuss the Men of the Great Assembly and the Beit Din Gadol and
further elaborate on the idea of Ezra as the “Nasi” Head of the Beit Din.
I then look at the book of Shemot (Exodus) in Parsha Yitro where Moshe’
father-in-law Yitro (Jethro) gives Moshe counsel on how to deal with judging
the people.

Program #46 – Ezra’s Ten Rules Part 6- The Beit Din
The Men of the Great Assembly, who were they and how did they help in the
reforms of Ezra. The Artscroll commentary to the book of Ezra and Mishnah
describe the Men of the Great Assembly the “Court of Ezra” (Ezra’s beit
din). I discuss Ezra as the head of the Beit Din – Sanhedrin of his time.
I also discuss the possibility of Ezra as the Chronicler. I move into the
Mishnah “Perke Avot” as means of seeing what the “Men of the Great Assembly”
promoted in their time. I discuss how these things dovetail into the tiknot
of Ezra.
