Yom haKahal – The Day of Assembly is another name for Shavuot. On this day Israel not only received ch the audible 10 commandments, but was officially formed into a nation and an assembly. Throughout the ages the Tanach spoke of a coming eschatological kahal or assembly. This is what occurred in Acts 2.
