In this week’s lesson, Ross covered the subject of the Way of Life. Beginning in Matthew 7:12-14 as the basis for this class.
He shows that Yeshua laid out “two ways” - one that leads to life and the other that leads to death. He spends the class teaching on the Way of Life.
Reading texts from the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Torah, an ancient Christian document called the Didache, and into the Christian Scriptures, Ross shows a continuity that runs through these texts. The Good way, though represented by a narrow gate and hard road that is difficult to find, can be followed safely to eternal life.
Ross also incorporates the parable of the Good Samaritan in this class

We then delve into the phrase “Custom of the Feast” in relation to Torah observance. We also discuss the Hebrew word “mishpat” judgments. We look at this verse from a Hebrew translation.
We further discuss the relationship to the Oral Torah to Yeshua’ life and the life of his family members.

Program #8 - The Aleph and the Tav
I discuss the Hebrew concept of Alef-Tav. This word goes un-translated in the English version of the text. The alef and tav are the beginning and ending letters of the Hebrew alef-bet. These letters correspond to the Greek letters Alpha and Omega (Rev 1:8). What does the Alef-Tav of Genesis 1:1 mean?

In this week’s lesson, Ross covers chapters 5-7 from the gospel of Matthew.
Today, July 20th 2008, is Tammuz 17 on the Hebrew calendar. This date is associated with the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem which ultimately led to the fall of the Temples.
Ross shows that this date played an important role in the history of Temple Sinai. On July 22, 1902, the congregational members began building the synagogue from which Sunday Shul is taught.
Ross weaves the history of ancient Israel, the history of the synagogue in Saint Francisville, and then proceeds into the lesson.
Ross works through the teachings attributed to Yeshua recorded in three chapters of Matthew’s gospel, known as the sermon on the mount.
