Due to ministry schedule A taste of Hebrew and Midrashim will take a break this week. We should be back on schedule in a week or so. This would be a great time for some review.
Shalom

Program #68 - Genuine Spirituality #11Spirituality, The Korbanot #2 / קרבנות ב
In this program I continue my series within a series on the Korbanot and their relation to spirituality. I delve deeper into the understanding of the allegorical interpretation of the korbanot found in Vayikra (Leviticus) chapter 1. I first look at the varied levels of Rabbinic Hermeneutics then launch the discussion in to a comparative between Romans Chapter 12 and Leviticus chapter 1. I further elaborate on Shaul’s phrase concerning “living sacrifices” from his letter to the Romans Chapter 12.

Spirituality And Shir HaShirim
I continue with the allegorical interpretation of Shir HaShirim (Song of Songs - which are Solomon’s). In this lesson I begin to look at the passage which calls for the drawing of the Shulimite maden as she cries “draw me, we will run after you.” What can this allegorical passage mean?

Spirituality And Shir HaShirim (Song of Songs- Solomons)
In this program I look into Rambam’s Hilchot Teshuvah as a initiation to our
program. In Hilchot Teshuvah Rambam suggests how we should relate to
HaShem. Then I move to the allegorical interpretation of Shir HaShirim
(Song of Songs - which are Solomon’s). I take the remainder of the program
to explain the opening sentences of Shir HaShirim, “Let Him kiss me with the
kisses of His mouth.” What can the allegorical interpretation of this
verse possibly mean?

Spirituality, A Practical View
In this program I begin to move from definitive spirituality to practical Spirituality. I look at examples of those who viewed sin as a rejection of the presence of G-d. I look at those who sin as a serious offense against G-d. Likewise, I look at varied views of fearing G-d. In conclusion we begin to look at the idea of D’kut. What is D’vkut? We explain in the conclusion of this program. The idea of D’vkut will form the foundation for the remainder of our programs on this subject.
Please note that there are two different media files to choose from. The first is AUDIO ONLY (MP3). The second is the usual Video that you have been accustomed to. Also note that the Video is now coded in wide screen format.

Spirituality, The Apostolic View
We have looked at the fact that Shaul defines spirituality as Torah observance. This allows us to understand the view of spirituality from the view of the Tanach. However, what is the view of spirituality held by Yeshua’ talmidim? Is their view abstract of different from the views we have delineated so far?

Sin and the Torah
I look at Romans chapter 8 in brief review of Shaul and the Torah. Then we begin to take a lexical look at the words sin and Torah. In the conclusion of this program I look at Romans 10:4 where it discusses Messiah as the “end” of the Torah (Law). What is the Greek word for “end”? I define and clarify this concept in relation to Messiah, sin and the Torah
