Mesorah of Mark 136-139

A preview of the Nazarean Talmud

This Torah Focus will looked at the typical connections between the Torah Readings and the book of Mark. We asked the following questions, why Mordechai mentions Miriam Migdalah and Miriam the mother of Yaa’qov abd Yosi?

We will also looked at the construction of the Nazarean Talmud up close and personal as it is laid out in the present readings. Then we asked how Hakham Shaul (Paul) makes his connections with the reading of Mordechai (Mark) and the Torah readings himself?

This was a very insightful look at the core intention of the Shalichaim (Apostles) and Talmidim of Yeshua.

Yeshua’s Final Words

This class starts by looking at the statement made by the centurion “this man was god’s son.” What do these words mean as they proceed from the mouth of a Roman centurion?

We then discussed the veil (curtain) that was torn from top to bottom. Which curtain was torn and what implications does this have as we read it from the Markan text?

We discuss the time of day as recorded in the Markan text and its relation to the words of Yeshua on the cross. (executioners stake).

We conclude with the question; What were the final words of Yeshua as stated in the Book of Mark? In this class we will looked at the final words of Yeshua as they were spoken in Aramaic. We asked the Question: What do the final words “Eil, Eil, Lemana Shabaqthani” really mean?

We discussed these things and more in this Torah Focus.

Are the other “Gospels” Mesorah?

What about the Hebrew word B’sorah (Besorah)?

How does Mark and the the other “Gospels relate to the Torah?

How does Mark and the other “Gospels” relate to the Oral Torah?

Was Hakham Tsefet (Peter) really a dumb fisherman? Or was he a halakhic genius?

These questions and more…
